Going international

Your market might not stop at the Dutch border. A partner in Germany, a pilot in Singapore, or investors in the US could be the next step for your company. You don’t have to work out the route on your own. At UtrechtInc we help founders take that step by connecting them with the organisations and people who know how international expansion works. On this page you’ll find the contacts we point our community to most often.

Which route fits you?

Startup Liaison Officers

Your contact at the Dutch embassy. The Dutch government has Startup Liaison Officers at its diplomatic posts abroad. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs set up the network in 2019 to help startups and scale-ups based in the Netherlands grow internationally.

The officers know the local ecosystem in their region. They organise trade missions, startup events and networking opportunities, and they can introduce you to potential partners, customers and investors. Each officer can be contacted directly by email.

There are currently Startup Liaison Officers for the US West Coast, the US East Coast, Singapore, Germany, France, the United Kingdom.

Startup trade missions

Do you want to showcase your product and meet with potential investors, partners and customers? Each year, RVO takes delegations of Dutch startups and scale-ups to leading international tech events. You present your company to an international audience, meet potential customers and investors, and get to know the other founders in the delegation along the way.
